Exodus– Saved to Serve
The book of Exodus brings us face to face with God who keeps his promises and rescues his people so that they are free to serve him. It sets the pattern for all future encounters with the true God of Israel who is fully revealed in Jesus whose sacrifice rescues his people in every age. It has been said that if you do not understand Exodus you will not properly understand the New Testament. We embark on a journey to encounter the living God through this important work.
Sometimes Christians are accused of being so heavenly minded that they are of no earthly use. Peter’s first letter challenges us to engage with our world and to make an impact while remembering that our true citizen is in heaven. That is a challenge we are called to take up.
